- Flathead Screwdriver
- Replacement Fuel Filter
- Wrench
Instructions
1. Locate the fuel filter. The fuel filter is usually located under the car, near the fuel tank. It is a cylindrical-shaped object with two fuel lines connected to it.
2. Relieve fuel pressure. Before removing the fuel filter, you need to relieve fuel pressure. Turn the key to the "On" position, but don't start the engine. This will run the fuel pump and relieve pressure in the fuel lines.
3. Disconnect the fuel lines. Use a wrench to loosen the fuel line clamps and remove the fuel lines from the fuel filter. Be careful not to spill any gas.
4. Remove the fuel filter. Use a flat-head screwdriver to remove the fuel filter bracket. Then, remove the fuel filter from the bracket.
5. Install the new fuel filter. Insert the new fuel filter into the bracket and secure it with the fuel filter bracket.
6. Reconnect the fuel lines. Reconnect the fuel lines to the fuel filter and tighten the fuel line clamps.
7. Start the engine. Start the engine and check for leaks. If there are no leaks, the fuel filter replacement is complete.
