1. Gather the necessary tools and supplies.
* Phillips-head screwdriver
* Flat-head screwdriver or trim removal tool
* 6.5-inch replacement speakers
* Speaker wire
* Butt connectors or solder and heat shrink tubing
* Electrical tape
2. Remove the rear deck panel.
* Open the trunk of the Accord.
* Locate the two Phillips-head screws that hold the rear deck panel in place and remove them.
* Use the flat-head screwdriver or trim removal tool to gently pry up the rear deck panel until it pops out of place.
* Set the rear deck panel aside in a safe place.
3. Disconnect the factory speaker wires.
* Locate the speaker wires that connect the factory speakers to the head unit.
* Disconnect the speaker wires by pressing down on the release tabs and pulling the connectors apart.
4. Remove the factory speakers.
* Remove the four Phillips-head screws that hold each factory speaker in place.
* Carefully lift the factory speakers out of the rear deck.
5. Install the new speakers.
* Place the new speakers into the rear deck.
* Secure the new speakers in place using the four Phillips-head screws that you removed in the previous step.
6. Connect the new speaker wires.
* Connect the positive (+) terminal of the new speaker to the positive (+) terminal of the speaker wire.
* Connect the negative (-) terminal of the new speaker to the negative (-) terminal of the speaker wire.
* Use butt connectors or solder and heat shrink tubing to secure the connections.
7. Test the new speakers.
* Turn on the head unit and adjust the volume to a comfortable level.
* Play some music to test the new speakers.
* Make sure that the new speakers are working properly and that there is no distortion.
8. Reinstall the rear deck panel.
* Carefully align the rear deck panel with the mounting holes in the trunk.
* Insert the two Phillips-head screws and tighten them until the rear deck panel is secure.
9. Enjoy your new speakers!
