How do you reset the srs light on your 2003 Honda civic?

Resetting the SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) Light on a 2003 Honda Civic

1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine. Make sure the gear shift is in "Park" (for automatic transmission) or first gear (for manual transmission).

2. Locate the SRS reset switch. It is usually located under the driver's side dashboard, near the steering column. This will be a white, rectangular button.

3. Use a small, flat-head screwdriver or other blunt object to press and hold the SRS reset switch for about 10 seconds. There is no need to apply a lot of force in holding down the SRS reset switch; gentle pressure is all that’s needed.

4. The SRS light should turn off after about 5 seconds. If the light does not turn off, repeat steps 1 to 3.

5. Release the SRS reset switch and start the engine. The SRS light should remain off. If the light comes back on, you may need to have the SRS system diagnosed by a qualified mechanic.
