- Flat-head screwdriver
- ¼-inch drive ratchet
- 7mm socket
- New headlight bulb (H1)
Instructions:
1. Park your car in a safe and well-lit area, and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood of your car.
3. Locate the headlight bulb housing. It is located behind the headlight lens on the front of your car.
4. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry open the headlight bulb housing cover.
5. Use a ¼-inch drive ratchet with a 7mm socket to loosen the headlight bulb retaining ring.
6. Remove the retaining ring and take out the old headlight bulb from the housing.
7. Insert the new headlight bulb into the housing and secure it with the retaining ring.
8. Replace the headlight bulb housing cover and close the hood of your car.
Tips:
- Be careful not to drop the headlight bulb. If it does fall, don't touch the glass part of the bulb with your bare hands, as the oil from your skin can damage the bulb and shorten its lifespan.
- If you are having difficulty removing the old headlight bulb, try using a pair of pliers to grip it.
- Make sure that the new headlight bulb is the same type as the old one. The bulb type is usually printed on the side of the bulb.
