Instructions:
1. Park your car and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool down if it has been running.
2. Open the hood of your car. Locate the release lever inside the car and pull it to open the hood.
3. Locate the headlight assembly that needs the bulb replaced. It is located at the front of the vehicle, on either side of the radiator grille.
4. Remove the plastic cover from the back of the headlight assembly. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws holding the cover in place.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the headlight bulb. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the connector loose.
6. Remove the old headlight bulb from the housing. Turn the bulb counterclockwise until it comes loose, and then pull it out of the housing.
7. Insert the new headlight bulb into the housing. Turn the bulb clockwise until it locks into place.
8. Reconnect the electrical connector to the back of the headlight bulb. Make sure the connector is fully seated.
9. Replace the plastic cover on the back of the headlight assembly. Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to screw the cover back into place.
10. Close the hood of your car. You have now successfully replaced the headlamp bulb on your 2002 Honda CR-V.
