Transmission fluid level:Check the transmission fluid level. If it's low, add some.
Transmission filter: If the filter is clogged, it can restrict the flow of transmission fluid and cause the transmission to overheat and not shift properly.
Shift solenoids: The shift solenoids control the movement of the transmission fluid inside the transmission. If a solenoid is damaged, it can cause the transmission to shift incorrectly or not shift at all.
Torque converter: The torque converter is responsible for transferring power from the engine to the transmission. If the torque converter is damaged, it can cause the transmission to slip or not engage properly.
If you're not comfortable diagnosing and repairing the problem yourself, take your car to a qualified mechanic.
