* Phillips head screwdriver
* Flat head screwdriver
* 10mm socket wrench
* 12mm socket wrench
* Security code (this can be found in your owner's manual or by calling your local Toyota dealership)
Instructions
1. Open the hood of your Corolla.
2. Locate the security alarm siren. It is usually located near the battery.
3. Disconnect the negative battery terminal using the 10mm socket wrench.
4. Remove the two screws that hold the siren in place using the Phillips head screwdriver.
5. Remove the siren from the car.
6. Locate the security alarm control module. It is usually located under the dashboard, near the steering column.
7. Remove the two screws that hold the control module in place using the Phillips head screwdriver.
8. Remove the control module from the car.
9. Enter the security code using the flat head screwdriver. There will be a small hole on the side of the control module where you can insert the screwdriver. Turn the screwdriver clockwise to enter the first digit of the code, and then counterclockwise to enter the second digit. Repeat this process for all four digits of the code.
10. Reinstall the control module and the siren.
11. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
12. Close the hood of your Corolla.
The security alarm should now be fixed. If you continue to experience problems, you may need to take your car to a Toyota dealership for further assistance.
