1. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position, but do not start the engine.
2. Press and hold the odometer reset button on the instrument panel for at least five seconds.
3. While holding the odometer reset button, turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.
4. Release the odometer reset button.
5. The maintenance minder will now be turned off.
To verify that the maintenance minder is turned off, start the engine and check the instrument panel. The maintenance minder light should be off.
