P2189 - System Too Lean at Idle Bank 2
Possible causes:
- Vacuum leak
- Faulty oxygen sensor
- Faulty fuel injector
- Faulty mass air flow sensor
- Faulty throttle position sensor
- Faulty fuel pressure regulator
- Faulty engine coolant temperature sensor
- Faulty intake air temperature sensor
Diagnosis:
1. Check for vacuum leaks.
2. Check the oxygen sensors.
3. Check the fuel injectors.
4. Check the mass air flow sensor.
5. Check the throttle position sensor.
6. Check the fuel pressure regulator.
7. Check the engine coolant temperature sensor.
8. Check the intake air temperature sensor.
Repair:
The repair will depend on the cause of the problem. It may be necessary to replace one or more of the following components:
- Vacuum hose
- Oxygen sensor
- Fuel injector
- Mass air flow sensor
- Throttle position sensor
- Fuel pressure regulator
- Engine coolant temperature sensor
- Intake air temperature sensor
