How do you replace an egr valve on a 1995 Chevrolet Beretta 3.1 liter V6?

Tools:

* Socket set (including a 10 mm, 13 mm, and 15 mm)

* Phillips head screwdriver

* Flathead screwdriver

* Pliers

* Penetrating oil

* Replacement EGR valve

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the battery.

2. Locate the EGR valve. It is typically found on the upper intake manifold.

3. Remove the vacuum hose from the EGR valve.

4. Remove electrical connectors from EGR valve.

5. Use a 13 mm socket to loosen the bolts holding the EGR valve in place.

6. Gently pry the EGR valve off the intake manifold. Be careful not to drop the gasket that is between the valve and the manifold.

7. Clean the mating surfaces of the EGR valve and the intake manifold.

8. Apply a thin bead of RTV silicone to the gasket.

9. Reinstall the EGR valve and tighten the bolts.

10. Reconnect the vacuum hose and electrical connectors.

11. Reconnect the battery.

Start the engine and check for leaks. If there are no leaks, the repair is complete.
