1. Park your car on a flat surface and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake.
2. Lift the center console lid to access the shift lever.
3. Locate the OD switch, which is located on the side of the shift lever. It is usually a black or gray button.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector attached to the OD switch.
5. Press down on the tab on the side of the switch and pull it out of the housing.
6. To install the new OD switch, simply insert it into the housing and press until it clicks into place.
7. Reconnect the electrical connector and close the center console lid.
8. Start the engine and test the OD switch to make sure it is working properly.
Note: If the OD switch is still not working properly after you have replaced it, you may need to replace the shift lever assembly.
