Step 2: Open the trunk of your Mercedes E320. You will access the license plate light assembly from here.
Step 3: Locate the license plate light assembly. It is situated at the rear of the trunk, above the license plate.
Step 4: Remove the screws holding the license plate light assembly. There are two screws, one on each side of the assembly. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws.
Step 5: Once you have removed the screws, you can pry the license plate light assembly off the trunk. Be careful not to damage the paint on your Mercedes E320.
Step 6: Replace the license plate light bulbs with new ones. The license plate light assembly uses two 194-type bulbs.
Step 7: Reattach the license plate light assembly to the trunk. Insert the screws that you removed in Step 4 and tighten them until snug.
Step 8: Test the license plate lights to ensure that they are working properly. Turn on the headlights and check to see that the license plate is adequately lit.
Step 9: Close the trunk of your Mercedes E320. You have successfully replaced the license plate lights.
