- Replacement CYP sensor (Cylinder Position Sensor)

Instructions:
1. Locate the CYP Sensor
- The CYP sensor for a 1996 Honda Accord 2.2 is located on the front (timing belt) side of the engine block, just below the VTEC solenoid.
2. Disconnect Negative Battery Terminal
- To ensure safety while working on electrical components, disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Remove Air Intake Duct.
- Detach the air intake duct from the throttle body using a flat-blade screwdriver. This provides easier access to the CYP sensor.
4. Remove Bolts and Disconnect Harness
- Use a socket wrench to remove the two 10mm bolts that hold the CYP sensor in place.
- Once the bolts are removed, carefully disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
5. Remove Old Sensor
- Gently pry away the old sensor from the engine block using a flat-blade screwdriver. Be careful not to damage the surrounding area.
6. Install New Sensor
- Align the new CYP sensor with the mounting hole and insert the retaining bolts. Tighten the bolts securely with the socket wrench.
7. Reconnect Harness
- Connect the electrical connector to the new CYP sensor. Make sure the connection is secure.
8. Install Air Intake Duct
- Reattach the air intake duct to the throttle body.
9. Reconnect Battery
- Reconnect the negative battery terminal to restore power to the vehicle.
10. Test Function
- Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any engine irregularities or warning lights.
