Instructions:
1. Disconnect the battery. This will prevent the engine from starting while you are working on it.
2. Park your vehicle in a safe location. Make sure that the vehicle is in park or neutral and that the parking brake is engaged.
3. Chock the wheels. This will help to prevent the vehicle from rolling while you are working on it.
4. Jack up the vehicle. You will need to raise the vehicle high enough so that you can access the crank shaft pulley.
5. Once the vehicle is jacked up, place a jack stand under the frame. This will help to support the vehicle and prevent it from falling.
6. Remove the serpentine belt. The serpentine belt is the belt that drives the water pump, alternator, and power steering pump. To remove it, use a 15-inch extension and a 1/2-inch breaker bar to loosen the tensioner pulley. Once the tensioner pulley is loose, remove the belt from the pulleys.
7. Remove the crank shaft pulley bolt. The crank shaft pulley bolt is a 19 mm bolt. To remove it, use a 19 mm socket and a 1/2-inch ratchet.
8. Once the crank shaft pulley bolt is removed, you can remove the crank shaft pulley. To do this, use a crowbar and a hammer to pry the pulley off of the crankshaft.
9. Inspect the crank shaft pulley for damage. If the pulley is damaged, it will need to be replaced.
10. Install the new crank shaft pulley. To do this, simply reverse the steps listed above.
11. Tighten the crank shaft pulley bolt to 105 ft-lbs using a 1/2-inch torque wrench.
12. Install the serpentine belt. To do this, simply reverse the steps listed above.
13. Lower the vehicle. Once the crank shaft pulley is installed, you can lower the vehicle.
14. Reconnect the battery. This will allow you to start the vehicle.
It is important to note that this is a general guide and the steps may vary slightly depending on your specific model of Nissan Pathfinder. If you are unsure about how to perform any of the steps, it is best to consult a professional mechanic.
