1. Gather your tools and materials. You will need:
- A new cabin air filter (Toyota part number 87139-YZZ08)
- A Phillips-head screwdriver
- A vacuum cleaner (optional)
2. Open the glove box and remove its contents.
3. Locate the cabin air filter housing. It is located behind the glove box, on the passenger side of the vehicle.
4. Remove the cover of the cabin air filter housing by unscrewing the two Phillips-head screws that hold it in place.
5. Remove the old cabin air filter from the housing.
6. Inspect the housing for any debris, such as leaves or dirt. Vacuum the housing if necessary.
7. Insert the new cabin air filter into the housing, with the arrow pointing towards the front of the vehicle.
8. Replace the cover of the cabin air filter housing and secure it with the two Phillips-head screws.
9. Close the glove box.
