1. Turn the ignition switch to the "On" position without starting the engine.
2. Press and hold the "Trip Reset" button on the instrument cluster for about 5 seconds.
3. While still holding the "Trip Reset" button, turn the ignition switch to the "Off" position.
4. Release the "Trip Reset" button and wait for a few seconds.
5. Turn the ignition switch back to the "On" position without starting the engine.
6. The check engine light should be reset and turned off.
