- Replacement headlight bulb (check your owner's manual for the correct size)
- Socket wrench or screwdriver
- Rag or towel
- Flashlight (optional)
Instructions:
1. Turn off the engine and allow the vehicle to cool down. If the engine is hot, the headlight bulbs may be hot and could cause injury if touched.
2. Locate the headlight assembly. The headlight assembly is located at the front of the vehicle, behind the headlight cover.
3. Remove the headlight cover. The headlight cover is usually held in place by screws or clips. Consult your vehicle's owner's manual for the location and removal procedure of the headlight cover.
4. Locate the headlight bulb. The headlight bulb is located inside the headlight assembly. It is usually held in place by a spring clip or a retaining ring.
5. Remove the old headlight bulb. Use a socket wrench or screwdriver to loosen and remove the spring clip or retaining ring that holds the old headlight bulb in place. Be careful not to drop the spring clip or retaining ring into the headlight assembly.
6. Install the new headlight bulb. Insert the new headlight bulb into the headlight assembly and secure it in place with the spring clip or retaining ring. Ensure the bulb is properly seated and secure.
7. Replace the headlight cover. Reinstall the headlight cover and secure it in place with the screws or clips that you removed earlier.
8. Turn on the headlights to verify that they are working properly.
Note: If the new headlight bulb does not light up, check the fuse box to ensure that the appropriate fuse is not blown. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage.
