1. Locate the speaker grilles for your car’s rear speakers.
* The rear speaker grilles are generally attached to the rear deck and are visible without needing to detach components from the inside.
2. Pry on the speaker grilles to remove the speaker covers .
* Use a flat-headed screwdriver or specialized panel tool to pry the covers loose from the paneling in your rear deck.
3. Remove the speaker grilles.
* Pull the grilles up and out to dislodge them and free the speakers for removal.
4. Remove the speaker assembly mounting bolts.
* Use a socket set or an adjustable wrench to remove the bolts holding the speaker assembly to the rear deck panel.
5. Disconnect the speaker wiring harness.
* Pull the electrical connectors from the topside of the speakers to free them.
6. Pull out the speaker assembly from the rear deck panel.
7. Remove the old speakers from the speaker bracketry
* Typically, speaker components like the mounting bracket and speaker grill stay attached to the car. The speakers themselves are removable from these components. Remove the speakers by dislodging them from the speaker brackets.
