1. Turn off the engine and wait for the wipers to stop moving if currently in use.
2. Locate the wiper arms on the left and right sides of the windshield.
3. Press the release button located on the base of the wiper arm to unlock the arm. This button may be covered by a small plastic cap that needs to be pried off to access the button.
4. Once the arm is unlocked, lift it off the windshield and hold it in a raised position.
5. Adjust the position of the wiper arm on the spindle so that the wiper blade rests on the windshield in the desired position. Make sure the wiper blade covers the majority of the windshield surface and does not obstruct the driver's view.
6. Press down on the wiper arm to lock it in place.
7. Repeat steps 3-6 for the wiper arm on the other side of the windshield if needed.
8. Test the wipers by turning them on and verifying that they sweep across the windshield properly and do not obstruct the driver's vision.
Note: If the wiper arms are severely misaligned or damaged, it is recommended to consult with an auto repair professional to ensure proper adjustment and functionality of the wiper system.
