- 10 mm socket wrench
- 15 mm socket wrench

2. Preparatory Steps:
- Park your Saturn on level ground and engage the parking brake.
- Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
- Open the hood and locate the tensioner. It is usually found near the top of the engine, towards the front.
- Relieve the tension on the serpentine belt by using the 15 mm socket wrench to turn the tensioner pulley clockwise.
3. Remove Old Tensioner:
- Use the 10 mm socket wrench to loosen the bolts holding the tensioner in place.
- Remove the bolts and take out the old tensioner.
4. Install New Tensioner:
- Position the new tensioner in place and insert the bolts.
- Tighten the bolts using the 10 mm socket wrench.
5. Adjust Belt Tension:
- Use the Allen wrench to turn the tensioner pulley counterclockwise until the proper tension is achieved. The belt should be tight but not too taut.
- Use a flathead screwdriver to hold the tensioner pulley in place while tightening the lock nut with the 15 mm socket wrench.
6. Reattach Serpentine Belt:
- Route the serpentine belt back around the pulleys.
- Use the 15 mm socket wrench to turn the tensioner pulley clockwise to apply tension to the belt.
7. Final Checks:
- Ensure that all bolts and nuts are tight and secure.
- Double-check the belt tension to make sure it's correct.
- Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to check for any unusual noises or vibrations.
