Egr solenoid for 1990 C1500 Chevrolet How do you replace the EGR Solenoid?

Tools and Materials Needed:

- New EGR solenoid

- Socket wrench set

- Screwdriver

- Pliers

- Gasket sealant

Procedure:

1. Locate the EGR solenoid. It is usually mounted on the engine near the intake manifold.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the solenoid.

3. Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts holding the solenoid in place.

4. Remove the old solenoid and gasket.

5. Clean the mounting surface of the solenoid and the intake manifold.

6. Apply a thin bead of gasket sealant to the new gasket.

7. Install the new solenoid and gasket.

8. Tighten the bolts holding the solenoid in place.

9. Reconnect the electrical connector to the solenoid.

10. Start the engine and check for leaks.
