2. pry off the door panel retainers. There are four door panel retainers that hold the door panel in place. Two of the retainers are located on the top of the door panel, one near the front and one near the back. The other two retainers are located on the bottom of the door panel, one on each side. Use a trim removal tool or a flat-head screwdriver to pry off the retainers.
3. Lift the door panel off of the door. Once the retainers have been removed, you can lift the door panel off of the door. Be careful not to drop the door panel.
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors. There are two electrical connectors that need to be disconnected before you can remove the door panel completely. One connector is for the window switch, and the other connector is for the power lock switch. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry off the connectors.
5. Remove the door panel. Once the electrical connectors have been disconnected, you can remove the door panel completely. Lift the door panel up and off of the door.
To reinstall the door panel, simply follow the steps in reverse order.
