Instructions:
1. Park your Rover 75 on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2.Engage the parking brake.
3. Raise the front of your car with the jack and place the jack stands underneath the car. Make sure the car is stable before crawling underneath.
4.Locate the clutch slave cylinder. It is mounted on the transmission near the clutch master cylinder..
5.Using the 10mm wrench, loosen the bleeder valve on the clutch slave cylinder.
6. Attach the clutch bleeding kit to the bleeder valve. The kit should include a hose, a collection bottle, and a one-way valve.
7.Open the bleeder valve and allow the old fluid to drain into the collection bottle. Continue bleeding the clutch until you see clean, bubble-free fluid coming from the bleeder valve.
8.Close the bleeder valve and remove the clutch bleeding kit.
9. Refill the clutch fluid reservoir with new DOT 4 brake fluid.
10. Pump the clutch pedal several times to circulate the new fluid through the system.
11. Recheck the fluid level in the clutch fluid reservoir and add more fluid as needed.
12. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
13. Test the clutch pedal to make sure it feels firm and responsive.
If the clutch pedal feels soft or spongy, there may still be air trapped in the system. Repeat steps 5-11 until you are satisfied with the feel of the clutch pedal.
