1. Locate the OBD-II port. This is usually located under the steering wheel of your vehicle.
2. Remove the OBD-II port cap.
3. Insert the OBD-II scan tool into the port.
4. Turn your vehicle's ignition to the "on" position.
5. Follow the instructions on your scan tool to reset the check engine light.
6. Once the check engine light has been reset, turn your vehicle's ignition off, unplug the scanner, and replace the OBD-II port cap.
