2. Remove the gear selector knob cover and pull up on the gear selector knob to disengage it from the transmission.
3. Locate the hand brake lever and pull it up to the fully engaged position.
4. Locate the hand brake adjuster nut located at the bottom of the hand brake lever.
5. Insert a flat head screwdriver into the slot in the adjuster nut and turn the adjuster nut clockwise until the desired brake adjustment is achieved.
6. Test the hand brake by depressing the pedal and releasing it. The hand brake should hold the vehicle in place without being too tight or too loose.
7. Replace the gear selector knob cover and lower the hand brake lever.
