Nissan recommends that the timing chain on a Titan be replaced every 120,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. However, some owners have reported having to replace the chain as early as 80,000 miles. If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, it may be time to have your timing chain inspected:
- Engine knocking or rattling noise
- Difficulty starting the engine
- Engine stalls or hesitates
- Check engine light is on
