How do you adjust power steering belt on Nissan Micra?

Tools and materials needed:

- Wrench set

- Pliers

- Jack and jack stands

- Socket wrench set

Instructions:

1. Park your car on a flat surface and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake to prevent the car from rolling.

2. Raise your car on the front end with the jack and jack stands. Make sure the car is securely supported before you begin working.

3. Locate the power steering belt. It is usually located near the front of the engine, running between a couple of pulleys.

4. Use the pliers to grip the tensioner pulley. Turn the tensioner pulley counterclockwise to release tension on the belt.

5. Slide the belt off of the pulleys. Note how the belt is routed before removing it so you can reinstall it correctly.

6. Inspect the belt for signs of wear or damage. If the belt is cracked, frayed, or damaged, replace it with a new belt of the same size.

7. Install the new belt. Route the belt around the pulleys in the same manner as the old belt.

8. Use the wrench to turn the tensioner pulley clockwise to tension the belt. The belt should be snug, but not too tight.

9. Lower your car.

10. Test the power steering system. Start the engine and turn the steering wheel from left to right to check that the power steering is working properly.
