1. Locate the underhood fuse and relay center: This is usually a black plastic box, often near the battery or along the driver's side fender. The cover will have a diagram showing the fuse and relay positions.
2. Consult the owner's manual: Your owner's manual should have a diagram of the fuse and relay box. Look for a relay designated as the "blower motor," "AC blower," or something similar. The diagram will show its location in the box.
3. Check the relay box diagram: Even without the manual, the fuse and relay box cover itself *should* have a diagram. Look for the symbols representing relays, and compare them to the descriptions printed near the fuse/relay positions. Some diagrams are clearer than others.
4. If all else fails: You can carefully examine each relay in the box. They're usually interchangeable-looking, but the blower motor relay will likely be a higher amperage relay than others. You can compare relay amperage ratings listed on the box and the relays themselves to potentially identify the blower motor relay. However, this method is prone to error, so the above options are preferable.
Important Note: Before working on any electrical components, disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent accidental shorts and damage.
