Where do you check the automatic transmission fluid on 2001 Isuzu Rodeo?

The 2001 Isuzu Rodeo does not have a dipstick for checking the automatic transmission fluid. The fluid level is checked through the fill plug located on the side of the transmission. The fill plug is located on the driver's side of the transmission, towards the front of the vehicle. It is a 17mm bolt. To check the fluid level, remove the fill plug and look inside. The fluid should be at the bottom of the fill hole. If it is not, add fluid until it is. Be careful not to overfill the transmission.
