1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the trunk release lever and open the trunk.
3. Locate the taillight assembly on the side of the vehicle where the backup light bulb is out.
4. Remove the two screws that hold the taillight assembly in place.
5. Pull the taillight assembly out of the vehicle and set it aside.
6. Remove the old backup light bulb from the socket by turning it counterclockwise.
7. Replace the old bulb with a new one of the correct type.
8. Install the taillight assembly back in the vehicle and replace the two screws.
9. Close the trunk and start the engine to verify that the backup light is working.
