1. Turn on the ignition.
2. Find the valet switch. This is usually located under the dashboard, near the steering column.
3. Insert the key into the valet switch and turn it to the "On" position.
4. Wait 10 seconds.
5. Turn the key to the "Off" position and remove it from the switch.
6. Press and hold the Valet button for 5 seconds.
7. Release the Valet button.
8. The security system will reset and the alarm will be turned off.
If the alarm does not reset, try the following:
* Check the battery in the remote control. If the battery is low, the alarm will not work properly.
* Try resetting the alarm using the valet switch instead of the remote control.
* Contact the car dealer or the security system installer for assistance.
