* Phillips head screwdriver
* Flathead screwdriver
* Socket wrench set
* Extension bar
1. Open the trunk of your Cavalier and locate the six bolts that hold the rear bumper in place. They are located on the inside of the trunk lid, just above the bumper.
2. Use the socket wrench and extension bar to remove the six bolts.
3. Once the bolts are removed, carefully pry the rear bumper away from the car. It may be necessary to use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry the bumper away from the body of the car.
4. Once the rear bumper is removed, you can remove the two bolts that hold the license plate bracket in place.
5. Remove the license plate bracket and set it aside.
6. You can now remove the rear bumper from your Cavalier.
