-Replacement headlight bulb (check your vehicle's owner's manual for the correct size)
-Socket wrench
-Phillips head screwdriver
-Flashlight
2. Park your vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine.
-Engage the parking brake.
3. Open the hood.
4. Safely Disconnect Battery.
-To prevent any harm to yourself disconnect your vehicles battery. Use a wrench or a socket wrench to loosen the nut or bolt that holds the negative terminal in place, which is usually indicated with a minus (-) sign. Then completely remove the nut and lift off the negative terminal.
5. Locate the headlight bulb.
-The headlight bulb is located in the back of the headlight housing, behind the plastic cover.
6. Remove the plastic cover.
-Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws holding the plastic cover in place.
-Remove the plastic cover.
7. Disconnect the electrical connector.
-Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlight bulb.
8. Remove the old headlight bulb.
-Turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the housing.
9. Install the new headlight bulb.
-Turn the new headlight bulb clockwise to install it in the housing.
10. Reconnect the electrical connector.
-Reconnect the electrical connector to the headlight bulb.
11. Replace the plastic cover.
-Replace the plastic cover and secure it with the screws you removed earlier.
12. Close the hood.
13. Turn on the headlights to test the new headlight bulb.
Tips:
-Be careful not to touch the glass part of the headlight bulb with your fingers, as this can cause the bulb to overheat and burn out prematurely.
-If you are still having trouble replacing the headlight bulb, consult a professional mechanic.
-Make note of the bulb size and type so that you can easily find a replacement when needed.
