How do you change a headlight in 1991 Chrysler New Yorker?

1. Park your car in a safe location, and turn off the engine.

a. For safety, you want the car to be parked on a level surface, such as your garage, driveway, or a parking lot.

b. Make sure the car's parking brake is engaged so that it doesn't roll.

c. Open the hood of your car.

2. Locate the headlight assembly.

a. The headlight assemblies are located on the front of your car.

b. They are usually on the inner part of the headlights.

3. Remove the old headlight bulb.

a. Look at the back of the headlight assembly.

b. You should see a black plastic cap or a rubber boot covering the back of the bulb.

c. Twist the cap or boot counterclockwise to remove it.

d. Once the cap is removed, you should see the bulb.

e. Use your hand or a pair of pliers to turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it.

4. Install the new headlight bulb.

a. Pick the new headlight bulb for the appropriate socket.

b. Hold the bulb by its base and insert it into the socket.

c. Turn the bulb clockwise to secure it in place.

d. Replace the black plastic cap or the rubber boot by twisting it clockwise.

5. Close the hood of your car.

a. Make sure the hood is securely closed before driving your car.
