1. Park the motorcycle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the clutch adjustment mechanism on the left side of the engine. It is a black plastic knob with a locknut.
3. Loosen the locknut with a 12mm wrench.
4. Turn the adjustment knob clockwise to loosen the clutch. Turn it counterclockwise to tighten the clutch.
5. The correct adjustment is when the clutch lever has about 1/8 to 1/4 inch of free play at the lever.
6. Tighten the locknut when the adjustment is complete.
7. Test the clutch by pulling in the lever and shifting into first gear. The motorcycle should not move forward.
8. If the clutch adjustment is incorrect, repeat steps 3-7 until the clutch is adjusted properly.
