Instructions:
1. Park your car on a level surface and engage the parking brake. Chock the wheels to prevent the car from rolling.
2. Locate the CV joints. The CV joints are located at the ends of the driveshafts, which connect the transmission to the wheels.
3. Jack up the car and place it on jack stands. Make sure the car is securely supported before you begin working on it.
4. Remove the lug nuts and wheels.
5. Remove the cotter pin from the ball joint castle nut.
6. Use the pliers to pry the cotter pin out of the nut.
7. Loosen the ball joint castle nut.
8. Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry the ball joint loose from the steering knuckle.
9. Repeat steps 6-8 to loosen the other ball joint castle nut.
10. Use the pry bar to pry the lower control arm down. This will allow you to remove the axle nut.
11. Remove the axle nut.
12. Use the pry bar to pry the axle out of the differential.
13. Pull the axle out of the hub assembly.
14. Carefully remove the old CV joint from the axle shaft.
15. Install the new CV joint onto the axle shaft.
16. Grease the CV joint.
17. Insert the axle into the hub assembly.
18. Install the axle nut and tighten it to specifications.
19. Pry the lower control arm back up into place.
20. Install the ball joint castle nuts and cotter pins.
21. Lower the car off the jack stands.
22. Replace the wheels and lug nuts.
23. Test drive the car to make sure the CV joints are working properly.
