2. Pull the dipstick out and wipe it clean with a rag.
3. Reinsert the dipstick into the transmission until it is fully seated.
4. Pull the dipstick out again and check the fluid level. The fluid should be between the "full" and "add" marks on the dipstick.
5. If the fluid level is low, you will need to add transmission fluid. To do this, remove the transmission fluid filler tube cap, which is usually located on the top of the transmission.
6. Insert a funnel into the filler tube and pour transmission fluid into the funnel until the fluid level is between the "full" and "add" marks on the dipstick.
7. Replace the filler tube cap and the dipstick.
