Tools and Materials Needed:
- 10mm socket
- Ratchet or breaker bar
- Extension (optional)
Instructions:
1. Locate the fuel pump. The fuel pump is located beneath the rear seat of your Peugeot 206.
2. Disconnect the fuel lines. There are two fuel lines connected to the fuel pump assembly: a larger supply line and a smaller return line. Use a wrench to loosen and remove the nuts securing these lines, allowing the fuel to spill into the fuel tank
3. Remove the electrical connections. There are also two electrical connectors attached to the fuel pump assembly. Disconnect these connectors by pressing the retaining tabs and pulling them apart.
4. Remove the mounting nuts. There are four 10mm nuts that secure the fuel pump assembly to the fuel tank. Use a socket and ratchet or breaker bar (with an extension if needed) to loosen and remove these nuts.
5. Remove the fuel pump. Once the mounting nuts are removed, the fuel pump assembly can be lifted out of the fuel tank. Be careful as there may still be some fuel in the assembly that can spill.
6. Replace the nut. Replace the old nut with a new one
Note: Ensure that the fuel lines and electrical connectors are properly secured when reinstalling the fuel pump assembly to prevent leaks or malfunctions.
