1. Park your Ford Ranger on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Put on your safety glasses and gloves.
3. Locate the muffler. It is a cylindrical metal canister located under the rear of the vehicle.
4. Use the wrench to loosen the bolts that connect the muffler to the exhaust pipe.
5. Use the hacksaw to cut the exhaust pipe if it is rusted or damaged.
6. Slide the new muffler onto the exhaust pipe.
7. Use the pliers to hold the muffler in place.
8. Use the wrench to tighten the bolts that connect the muffler to the exhaust pipe.
9. Start the engine and listen for any leaks. If you hear any leaks, tighten the bolts until the leak stops.
10. Test drive the vehicle to make sure the muffler is working properly.
