Steps to Replace Side Marker Bulb:
1. Preparatory Work:
- Turn off the engine and allow the vehicle to cool down completely.
- Engage the parking brake to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
2. Locate side marker Light Assembly:
- Find the side marker light assembly on the side of the vehicle where you need to replace the bulb. It's usually located near the front or rear fender.
3. Remove the Light Cover:
- Use the pry tool or a flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the light cover. There may be a release tab or clip holding the cover in place.
4. Remove Old Bulb:
- Once the cover is removed, you'll see the side marker bulb.
- Use a Phillips head screwdriver to loosen and remove the bulb.
- Gently pull the bulb straight out of the socket.
5. Install New Bulb:
- Align the new bulb with the socket and gently push it into place.
- Secure the new bulb by turning the bulb holder counterclockwise until it's snug.
6. Replace the Cover:
- Snap the light cover back into place. Ensure that it's secure.
7. Test the Bulb:
- Turn on the vehicle's headlights or parking lights to check if the new side marker bulb is working.
8. Clean Up:
- Put away the tools and clean up any debris created during the replacement.
Important Note:
- If the side marker bulb doesn't come on, double-check that it's properly seated in the socket and the bulb holder is secured. If the bulb still doesn't work, the bulb may be faulty, or there might be an issue with the wiring or electrical connection. In this case, it's best to seek assistance from a qualified automotive technician.
