Park your car in a safe location, and turn off the engine.
Engage the parking brake.
Open the trunk.
Locate the tail light assembly that contains the brake light you need to replace.
There are three bolts holding the tail light assembly in place. Remove these bolts using a socket wrench.
Once the bolts are removed, you can pull the tail light assembly straight out of the vehicle.
There is a connector that connects the tail light assembly to the vehicle's electrical system. Disconnect this connector.
Remove the old brake light bulb from the tail light assembly by turning it counterclockwise.
Install the new brake light bulb by turning it clockwise until it is secure.
Reconnect the connector that connects the tail light assembly to the vehicle's electrical system.
Replace the tail light assembly in the vehicle and reinstall the three bolts that you removed earlier.
Once you are finished, turn the ignition key to the "ON" position and check that the new brake light is working properly.
