How do you get the bolt out to remove roll pin from spider gears in and 2001 ford 10 rear end have used a 6 point impact socket yet will not give. any suggestions special tools?

* 1/2-inch drive impact wrench

* 12-inch extension

* 15/16-inch deep socket

* 3/8-inch drive ratchet

* 1/4-inch socket

* Punch

* Hammer

Here are the steps on how to remove the bolt to remove the roll pin from the spider gears:

1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it on jack stands.

2. Remove the rear wheels.

3. Remove the brake calipers and rotors.

4. Remove the differential cover.

5. Lift out the spider gears and pinion assembly.

6. Loosen the bolts holding the spider gears together using a 15/16-inch deep socket and a 1/2-inch drive impact wrench.

7. Use a 3/8-inch drive ratchet and a 1/4-inch socket to remove the roll pin.

8. Reinstall the spider gears and pinion assembly.

9. Tighten the bolts holding the spider gears together.

10. Reinstall the differential cover.

11. Reinstall the brake calipers and rotors.

12. Reinstall the rear wheels.
