1. Gather the necessary tools and parts.
* New muffler strap
* Wrench set
* Socket set
* Jack
* Jack stands
2. Prepare the vehicle.
* Park the car on a level surface.
* Engage the parking brake.
* Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
* Raise the car with the jack and support it on the jack stands.
3. Locate the old muffler strap.
* The muffler strap is located around the middle of the muffler. It is a metal band with holes that goes around the muffler and is held in place by bolts.
4. Remove the old muffler strap.
* Use the wrench to loosen the bolts that hold the muffler strap in place.
* Remove the bolts and the old muffler strap.
5. Install the new muffler strap.
