1. Park your vehicle in a safe location and allow the engine to cool completely.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Drain the coolant from the radiator and engine block.
4. Remove the intake manifold.
5. Remove the exhaust manifolds.
6. Remove the rocker arm covers.
7. Remove the pushrods.
8. Remove the cylinder heads.
9. Clean the cylinder heads and engine block surfaces.
10. Install new head gaskets.
11. Reinstall the cylinder heads.
12. Install the pushrods.
13. Install the rocker arm covers.
14. Install the exhaust manifolds.
15. Install the intake manifold.
16. Fill the radiator and engine block with coolant.
17. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
18. Start the engine and check for leaks.
