2. Remove Valve Cover:
- Locate the valve cover on the top of the engine.
- Remove the valve cover bolts and carefully remove the valve cover along with the valve cover gasket.
3. Remove Cam Chain Tensioner:
- On the front of the engine, you will find the cam chain tensioner.
- Remove the mounting bolts of the cam chain tensioner and slide it out of its housing.
4. Remove the Old Timing Chain:
- Crank the engine using the kickstarter or a socket wrench to align the timing marks on the camshaft and crankshaft.
- Loosen and remove the timing chain guides and tensioners.
- Carefully remove the old timing chain.
5. Install New Timing Chain:
- Align the timing marks on the camshaft and crankshaft once again.
- Position the new timing chain over the timing sprockets and around the camshaft and crankshaft.
- Ensure the timing marks are properly aligned as you install the chain.
- Tighten the timing chain tensioner to secure the chain.
6. Reinstall Components:

- Replace the cam chain tensioner and secure it with its mounting bolts.
