1. Open the hood of your vehicle and locate the engine air filter housing.
2. Unlatch the two clips on the air filter housing cover.
3. Lift the air filter housing cover off of the housing.
4. Remove the old air filter from the housing.
5. Inspect the air filter for dirt and debris.
6. If the air filter is dirty, replace it with a new one.
7. Reinstall the air filter housing cover and latch the two clips.
8. Close the hood of your vehicle.
2010-Present Chevy Equinox
1. Open the hood of your vehicle.
2. Locate the engine air filter housing on the passenger side of the engine compartment. It is a black plastic housing with a round lid.
3. Unlatch the lid of the air filter housing.
4. Lift the lid of the air filter housing off of the housing.
5. Remove the old air filter from the housing.
6. Inspect the air filter for dirt and debris.
7. If the air filter is dirty, replace it with a new one.
8. Reinstall the air filter housing cover and latch the lid.
9. Close the hood of your vehicle
