What would cause one windshield wiper to work and not work?

* A blown fuse. This is the most common cause of one windshield wiper not working. Check your owner's manual for the location of the fuse box and replace the blown fuse.

* A bad wiper motor. The wiper motor is responsible for powering the windshield wipers. If the motor is bad, it will need to be replaced.

* A bad wiring connection. The wiring connection between the wiper motor and the power supply may be loose or corroded. Check the connection and make sure it is secure.

* A bad switch. The switch that turns the windshield wipers on and off may be bad. If the switch is bad, it will need to be replaced.
