Test Connection and Wiring:

5. Reconnect the connector firmly.

Check Power and Ground Circuits:

6. Use a voltmeter to ensure that there's power to the sensor.

7. Verify that the sensor is grounded properly. Check the ground connection and cables.

Monitor Oil Pressure:

8. Start the engine and let it idle.

9. Use a mechanical oil pressure gauge to get a direct pressure measurement.

Compare it with the readings on the vehicle's dashboard.

10. If the mechanical gauge indicates normal pressure but the dashboard shows low pressure, suspect the sensor.
