1. Locate the neutral safety switch. It is usually located on the transmission near the shifter mechanism.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the neutral safety switch.
3. Use a jumper wire to connect the two terminals on the switch.
4. Start the engine and verify that it starts in neutral and will not start in any other gear.
Bypass only in necessary because of safety risks, it is recommended only as a temporary way while traveling to find replacement. Have safety and vehicle repaired promptly.
