Park the bus on a level surface and turn off the engine.
Locate the source of the leak. The leak may be coming from the windshield gasket, the windshield frame, or the wiper area. Look for cracks, gaps, or loose screws.
Clean the area around the leak. Use a damp cloth to remove dirt, dust, and debris from the area around the leak. This will help you get a better seal when you apply sealant.
Remove the old gasket or sealant. If the leak is coming from the windshield gasket, you will need to remove the old gasket. Use a putty knife or similar tool to pry the gasket out of place. If the leak is coming from the windshield frame or the wiper area, you will need to remove the old sealant. Use a caulking gun to remove the old sealant.
Apply a new sealant or gasket. Once the old sealant or gasket has been removed, you can apply a new sealant or gasket. If you are using a sealant, apply a bead of sealant around the perimeter of the windshield. If you are using a gasket, insert the new gasket into the groove around the windshield.
Screw in the windshield bolts. Once the new sealant or gasket has been applied, you can screw in the windshield bolts. Tighten the bolts until they are snug.
Test the sealant or gasket for leaks. Once the new sealant or gasket has been installed, you can test it for leaks. Turn on the windshield wipers and spray water onto the windshield. Look for any leaks around the windshield. If you see any leaks, you may need to apply more sealant or tighten the windshield bolts.
Additional tips:
* Use a high-quality sealant or gasket that is designed for use on windshields.
* Make sure to apply the sealant or gasket evenly and without any gaps.
* Tighten the windshield bolts until they are snug but do not over-tighten them.
* If you are not comfortable performing this repair yourself, you can take your bus to a professional mechanic.
